Damascus steel is characterized by distinctive patterns of swirling and banding metals creating this beautiful design you see before you.  It has the legendary reputation to be able to cut straight through a rifle barrel or to cut a hair falling across the blade.  Legend or not we do know that Damascus steel is strong, durable, and able to retain an edge longer.  The blade here comes in a sheep’s foot style with a thumb stud for opening. The Sheep’s foot gives you optimal leverage and a lot of confidence when using them on rough cutting jobs. The heavy duty handle is built solid.  You can feel the weight as it lies in your palm.  The decorative plates are made from horn and stained in a lovely evergreen.  Brass is used to construct the frame and liner locking mechanism creating the interior walls of the handle.  Diamond cut chisel work decorates the frame and makes it sparkle.  The spine has the same file work as the frame for added decorative accents.  Bolsters on both sides of the handle are made from copper with a silver finish.  Falcon profiles adorn both sides to add a little something extra as if this piece needs it.  Included is a hand sewn leather sheath that has been stained and treated. The sheath comes with a snap closure and a belt loop on the back.
