Stunner! 50s-60s brown wool coat with a thick & luxurious fox fur collar. Made of excellent quality Forstmann wool in dark brown with a beautiful horizontal stripe texture. The coat has a classic late 50s - early 60s relaxed silhouette with the front of the belt on the outside & the back on the inside, threaded through slits at the side. It has a wrap front with belt closure, 2 hand pockets, bracelet sleeves, and is fully lined in thick chestnut satin. CONDITION:

Very good condition overall. The wool and lining are in very good condition with minor signs of wear to the belt. The fox fur collar feels super soft but may be a little dry - I noticed a bit of shedding when I first got the coat after being in storage for a long time, but no further shedding after cleaning it up & fluffing to test it. There is a small bald spot on the inner back of the collar about 2. 5” wide x 3/4” high (see last pic). It’s not noticeable but may signify dryness of the pelt. I happen to have another fox fur collar that’s almost an exact match in size, it’s a little thinner but still very nice. The fur collar attaches to the wool collar of the coat with basting stitches, so you could replace it in due time if the original collar doesn’t last. This 2nd collar is included in the price & will be shipped with the coat. It’s pictured in the 2nd to last pic.

SIZE:

No size tag. Because it’s a wrap coat it can fit a range of sizes but I believe it will best fit: M-L (8-10-12 US / 12-14-16 UK)-->This is a size estimate. The coat is lightly tucked back on her to show general fit.
