A CURVACIOUS CORAL CLUSTER

Created by renowned Zuni artisan Alice Quam, this bold vintage bolo features a beautifully large round cluster slide with dozens of coral stones set in serrated bezels. Sterling silver twisted rope and drop details were placed throughout. The cord is a braided leather tipped with sterling silver aiguillettes. It’s an eye-catching piece on anyone -- guy or gal!

Alice Quam (?-2003; Zuni). Active since 1940s. Cluster work; petit point. Alice Quam shared a stamp with her husband Duane Quam. Daughter of Doris and Wayne Ondelacy. Mother of Alvina, Elgin, Shirley, and Wayne Quam, Diane Lonjose and Lorraine Waatsa. Sister of Bernice Leeky. Multiple award winner. Started using a hallmark in the 1960s.
