Beautiful antique top hat from the Victorian Era. Made entirely of beaver fur and silk. Beaver fur exterior is in exceptional condition. However, Silk sash has deteriorated as well as the black silk lining found on the interior brim. Inside you will find some wear as well and handwritten marks on the inside. There is a tiny metal mesh on the very top of the hat that is meant to ventilate air! That hat is made by the Young Bros. Company and they were known for their excellent craftsmanship. Examples of these hats are found in museums around the world! Perfect addition to a collection or for an elegant occasion.
