L-com's premium TRD824-BLK-30F Category 8 rated, 25 to 40gig cable assembly is here for your fastest and highest capacity data applications. Built with Cat8 rated S/FTP cable, the TRD824 series can handle bandwidth of up to 2000MHz and is perfect for server room and data center usage. Since Category 8 has strict specifications for noise restriction, our TRD824-BLK cables use a double shielded design with an overall braid shield around individually foil shielded twisted pairs to provide maximum protection from data corrupting EMI and RFI while also reducing or eliminating all forms of crosstalk.

Our TRD824-BLK-30F is built with a durable CM rated PVC jacket. It is terminated with 50um gold plated RJ45 (8x8) male plug connectors. Over molded boots provide robust strain relief for the connectors and the shark fin style latch makes for easy disconnects. Off the shelf lengths range from 0.5 feet to 65 feet. Off the shelf colors include black, blue, green and red with a PVC jacket as well as black and blue with a LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket. Special 28AWG slim (TRD828 series) and 24AWG flat (TRD824FLAT series) specialty assemblies are also available for angle, space and weight limited installations. TRD824-BLK-30F is black in color.

Cat 8 cabling was designed for high-speed data centers where networking hardware like switches and servers are located in close proximity and require connection. They are typically used in Top-of-Rack (ToR), End-of-Row (EoR) or Middle-of-Row (MoR) topologies to deliver 10, 25 or 40gig performance. These cables can be used to replace more expensive and distance limited cables like QFSP+ and twinax DAC assemblies. Remember that Cat8 is also backwards compatible with older Ethernet standards so you can easily future proof your patch cables in 10gig or slower set-ups.
